aviel is known by some for his 'little piggy tracker' r&b sentiments. recently he has used the tracker to chase woodsier themes of rural narrative and folk religion. judee sill and ilkae are among his icons.

aviel on his tracks: "linen closet" and "river troy" are two tracks from a small ep entitled "ozarkian ghost and the sound of the frozen river" which existed online for a few days but came down with most of aviel's other music (he got too self-consious). "linen closet" is a snapshot of a night spent sleeping in the closet of an alaskan cabin (recommended at least once); "river troy" is about superstitious love in mountain country.
